IDAHO, USA — The Moscow School District has joined a group of parents, teachers and education organizations in suing the state of Idaho over its school choice program.
There are ten petitioners bringing forward the lawsuit, including the Idaho Education Association . They say Idaho’s new tax credits violate the state constitution.
KREM 2 sat down with the superintendent of Moscow School District, which is the only school district to join the lawsuit.
Idaho's parental choice tax credit program is set to take effect in January, unless a coalition of parents, educators, and watchdog groups successfully stops it in court.
“It benefits only a few at the expense of all," said Director of Mormon Women for Ethical Government Cindy Wilson at a press conference in Boise last week.
