ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Witness testimony continued Monday in the trial of the Atlanta man accused of killing 8-year-old Secoriea Turner in 2020.
Surveillance video is playing a big part in this trial because it shows the moments around the shooting and who was allegedly involved.
Julian Conley is accused of firing the shot that killed Secoriea while she was in a car with her mom and her mom’s boyfriend.
Prosecutors said it happened as the car drove past the burned-down Wendy’s on University Avenue, where there was already ongoing unrest after the shooting of Rayshard Brooks by a police officer.
On Monday, Conley’s attorneys questioned the Atlanta police homicide detective who was the lead on the initial investigation.
