Three days after the resignation of an attorney investigating mortgage fraud allegations against New York State Attorney General Letitia James, a replacement has been sworn in.
White House aide Lindsey Halligan has been sworn in as the new interim U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, the New York Times reported . Halligan has worked as a member of President Donald Trump’s legal team, and Trump posted on Truth Social that she was “a tough, smart, and loyal attorney, who has worked with me for a long time” and that “she stood up for my rights during the Unconstitutional and UnAmerican raid on my home, Mar-a-Lago.”
