Carmen Andrade respects her sister Lupita Andrade ’s wishes.

Nearly a year after Carmen tied the knot with husband Daniel McCormack , the 25-year-old explained that she honors her conjoined twin’s boundaries during intimate moments by “constantly talking.”

"I don't know how else to put it,” Carmen told People in a joint interview with Lupita and Daniel published Sept. 22. She also noted that if Lupita is not comfortable with a private moment between Carmen and Daniel, such as cuddling or a conversation, "We just respect that."

Lupita—who identifies as asexual—shared she also has ways to distract herself.

“I have headphones and a phone,” she said. “I don’t care."

As for how Lupita feels about her sister’s husband?

"I love him as a brother,” she clarified
