COLUMBUS, Ohio —

Ohio Sen. Jon Husted and gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy endorsed each other for two of the country’s biggest races in 2026.

Husted and Ramaswamy made the announcement at an event in Columbus on Monday night, alongside Ohio Republican Party Chair Alex Triantafilou. Advertisement

Husted was appointed to the Ohio U.S. Senate seat vacated by JD Vance when he became President Donald Trump’s Vice President. He was previously DeWine’s lieutenant governor.

Husted will look to defend his seat in 2026, with former Ohio U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown as a challenger.

Ramaswamy is making a bid to become Ohio’s next governor, with Republican Mike DeWine’s term up at the end of 2026.
