WARTBURG, Tenn. (WVLT) - Dozens of inmates at the Morgan County Correctional Complex were awarded diplomas and certificates during a graduation ceremony.
During the ceremony on Sept. 16, 43 inmates were awarded High School Equivalency Test, or HiSET, Diplomas, which will assist them in getting a job after they are released from prison.
Officials said these inmates earning their diploma also allows them to take more vocational classes offered at the prison in addition to post-secondary degree programs offered by partnering colleges and universities.
