CLEVELAND, Ohio - A Cuyahoga County judge on Monday sentenced two men to prison for shooting at Cleveland police officers last October.

Common Pleas Judge Steven Gall ordered Dakota Greene, 26, to spend 28 years behind bars. He ordered Greene’s co-defendant, Ray Agosto, 40, to spend 18 years.

Last week, Gall sentenced a third co-defendant – Agosto’s brother, 33-year-old Wayne Agosto – to 25 years in prison.

“They will be spending decades behind bars and have earned every minute of it,” county Prosecutor Michael O’Malley said in a statement Monday. “We are thankful no Cleveland police officers were injured.”

The shooting occurred on Oct. 28, 2024, as officers searched for Ray Agosto, who had been accused the previous week of several offenses against his upstairs neighbors.
