Bronx, NY – A 44-year-old woman was shot in the arm during a brazen attack on East 188th Street and Webster Avenue Saturday evening, police said.
The victim was struck around 6:41 p.m. when two unidentified gunmen opened fire before fleeing on Citi bikes, heading eastbound on East 188th Street. She was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in a marked police vehicle and is listed in stable condition, according to officials.
Investigators said the suspects are believed to be teenagers, both estimated between 16 and 18 years old. One was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with gray sweatpants, while the other wore a black t-shirt and blue jeans.
The shooters remain at large as detectives continue to canvass the area and review surveillance footage. No arrests have been made.
