SANTA FE, N.M. —

Police are asking for the public's help identifying four suspects in the theft of a car early last Sunday, Sept. 14, a Santa Fe Police Department news release said.

The car, a 2014 Hyundai Elantra, was found near Willow Way with its ignition damaged and wires hanging loose.

SFPD has surveillance video of the suspects with the car, but they are not seen well enough to identify. Detectives have collected DNA evidence from the vehicle and sent it to the New Mexico Crime Lab for a forensic analysis.

The Santa Fe Police Department is asking community members in the area of Riverside Drive and Willow Way to check their home surveillance camera footage, for any recordings of the suspects captured Sunday, Sept. 14 between 3-10 a.m. for any recordings of the suspects.
