HOMEWOOD, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Homewood Public Library will again partner with Hand in Paw for a popular program this fall.
On Wednesday afternoons from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m., kids in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to the library’s Round Auditorium to participate in the Barks & Books program.
The program gives kids a chance to practice reading aloud to specially trained therapy dogs from Hand in Paw.
The program offers a judgement free, relaxed environment where young readers can build confidence, strengthen their literacy skills, and enjoy the comfort of a four-legged friend.
