WOODLAND, Calif. —
In the picture-perfect pattern of rural Vacaville, Robin Lynde is part of the community's fiber.
Lynde began weaving 45 years ago. It is a passion that is still woven today.
"Yeah, unfortunately, I still like it,” she laughed.
But she now has a problem looming on her hands
"There is this element of feeling like man, I have to use up this yarn, I'm not getting any younger,” Lynde said. “I have a lot to use up before I can't."
Lynde's love led her to start Meridian Jacobs , her at-home business, where she creates and sells her creations. And of course, what would a weaving business be without wool?
"Some are more pet than others," Lynde said as she showed KCRA 3 the 80 sheep she raises.
Every January, they are all sheared, and the fleeces are sent for processing
