UPDATE: Our crew witnessed the suspect exiting a building Monday night, bringing the standoff in Soddy-Daisy to an end.

PREVIOUS STORY: Our crew on scene reports officers ordering a suspect to come out with their hands up of a building near the 8800 block of Dayton Pike. The road is fully blocked as law enforcement handles this high-risk incident.

The incident is unfolding across the street from Williamson & Sons Funeral Home on Dayton Pike.

A neighbor told Local 3 the suspect has mental health issues and had been arguing with his girlfriend before pulling a gun and threatening to shoot a dog. The neighbor said the situation had been unfolding for about three hours.
