The Americans will be hooting on the Long Island Rail Road to the Ryder Cup and hollering on the expressway in their Ubers out of Manhattan and back in from the Hamptons later this week.

Even the world’s best noise cancelling headphones will struggle to silence the sledging and cussing from the “USA. USA” fans frothing at the mouths to cheer on the home team in golf’s most renowned teams event at Bethpage Black this weekend.

The Europeans can hear them now. In fact, they have had their fill for weeks after Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald supplied his stars with audio tapes filled to the brim with taunts.
