MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Travis Johnson, lead pastor of Pathway Church in Mobile, attended political activist Charlie Kirk's memorial in Glendale, Ariz., on Sunday afternoon.

Johnson said that although he did not know Kirk personally, the death was close to his heart. “We’re doing a lot of the same things. And actually, when you look at the killing of Charlie Kirk, he was doing what many pastors, many good pastors, do every single Sunday; standing up and communicating the good news,” Johnson said. The political activist was assassinated two weeks ago while speaking at a Utah university.
