LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - JCPS Superintendent Brian Yearwood established a Revenue Advisory Task Force a few months ago, which is now tasked with figuring out how to fix a $188 million budget deficit. Monday night, that task force discussed human resources expenses.
“Everybody who was here, everybody who is here was spending money because they want results for kids,” said James Craig, who represents District 3 on the board and also serves as the task force’s chair. “How do we make those results sustainable going forward is the challenge for us?”
That challenge, although difficult, is something Craig said is not a result of wasteful spending, but rather a lack of a long-term plan.
