ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — A shake-up over who provides ambulance service across Clark County has been underway.
A request for bids came down to two companies: the incumbent Pafford or Valor.
Other potential providers recently backed out, which left the decision up to the county's quorum court.
On Monday night in a crowded Clark County courtroom, community members and EMS personnel gathered to hear the future of the county.
The first option was Pafford, who had been operating as the main provider in the county for the last six months. The second was Valor, a smaller and newer entity.
