(FOX40.COM) -- A 73-year-old man who was shot on Monday afternoon has been pronounced dead after being hospitalized, according to the Stockton Police Department. • Video Above: What happens when you call 911?

Around 4:16 p.m., SPD responded to the 700 block of South San Joaquin Street for a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 70s with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital. However, around 9 p.m. he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information can submit tips anonymously through Stockton Crime Stoppers at 209-946-0600. Tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
