Over two million people throughout England are facing an additional week's wait for their bins to be collected, it has been revealed today. ‌

General waste will now be gathered every three weeks across a substantial portion of the nation following this transition. Local residents fear this could result in illegal dumping and increased rodent problems, similar to those witnessed in Birmingham this year during the continuing refuse workers' strike. ‌
