Non-profit organisation the Multiple Sclerosis Society of SA and NT is in $2.5 million in debt and has been recording losses for three years, according to its voluntary administrator and CEO.
The organisation which supports "more than 2,000 to 3,000 clients" living with multiple sclerosis each year, announced it had gone into voluntary administration yesterday.
Voluntary Administrator Andrew Heard from Heard Phillips Lieberenz said there were 70 staff members at the time of his appointment.
"My appointment as voluntary administration occurred yesterday after a meeting with directors of the company," he said.
