INDIANAPOLIS — The Trump administration is linking acetaminophen to an increase in autism cases.
Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in Tylenol. Now, the White House is touting unproven ties between the medication and autism.
The FDA also announced plans to approve leucovorin, a chemotherapy drug, to help alleviate autism symptoms.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said federal health agencies are leaving no stone unturned to identify the causes and possible cure for of autism.
The federal government said it's spending $50 million to look for the cause of autism, but one Stanford medical expert said, when it comes to Tylenol, she trusts the science.
