ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4) — St. George Police Animal Services officers recently worked together with St. George Fire Department to rescue a senior dog who was trapped in the mud.
St. George Police Department Animal Services Supervisor Cathy Freitas told ABC4 that they received a call from a citizen that a dog was stuck in the mud at the Fort Pearce Wash. Officer Davis with animal services responded, with the help of the caller in locating the dog.
"She tried getting it out of the mud by herself, but every time she would start to walk towards the dog, she would also sink in the mud, and so it became a little bit sketchy for her," Freitas described.
