Assam singer Zubeen Garg passed away on September 19 in Singapore, reportedly after he experienced breathing troubles while swimming. He was 52. As his mortal remains returned home and were kept at a sports complex in Guwahati, thousands gathered to pay their last respects, including his four pet dogs.
In a heartwarming video, Garg’s wife, Garima, and others were seen carrying their dogs , Iko, Diya, Rambo, and Maya, into the complex. The pets were brought close to his body, each allowed a final glimpse of the singer.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the moment on X, writing, “It is often said that dogs are a man’s best friend, and if dogs love you, you are a great man.”
