All-rounder Heather Graham has received a shock eleventh-hour call-up to Australia’s Women’s World Cup side, just a day before she plays her first game for Western Australia in six years.
Graham has been called over to India to replace batter Grace Harris, who has been ruled out of the tournament with a calf strain.
But West Aussie Graham — who has returned to her home State after a long stint playing with Tasmania — will first play the first two matches of the Women’s National Cricket League season, which begins at the WACA Ground against Queensland on Wednesday.
Australia begin their World Cup campaign against New Zealand in Indore next Wednesday.
