The incident of a Mumbai doctor losing his hand in a scuffle with a robber while traveling on the Nanded Express caused a stir. The police have taken major action in connection with the incident that took place near Kanjurmarg railway station on June 4 at around 3.50 am. The police have arrested the robber, Saif Chaudhary, and investigation has revealed that he has committed similar thefts in Kerala as well.

Dr. Yogesh Deshmukh (50) and Dr. Deepali Deshmukh (44) were travelling to Latur by LTT-Nanded train along with their nine-year-old daughter.
