MEDINA, Ohio – Voters throughout the county will be asked to consider a levy for the Medina County Park District this November and members of Medina’s finance committee have voiced their support for the measure.

The finance committee approved a resolution of support for the proposed levy Sept. 22.

“The park district does a lot of great things with us and I feel they are one of our partners that we are able to collaborate with,” Councilor Jim Shields said.

The Medina County Park District’s current 1-mill levy is set to expire at the end of 2026. Voters approved this current levy by roughly 60 percent back in 2015. According to Park District Director Nate Eppink the funds from this levy fund the park district as there is no permanent funding for the park district.
