The Monroe Kennel Club will host its annual all-breed dog show Sept. 26 through Sept. 28 at the Monroe County Fairgrounds, 3775 S. Custer Road, Monroe, according to a community announcement.

The show will begin at 8 a.m. each day and feature hundreds of dogs competing in various categories. Spectators can watch the judging of different breeds in conformation and cheer for their favorites. The event also will include obedience and rally trials, which test a dog’s understanding of commands.

Owner-handlers will compete in the National Owner-Handled Series, and young handlers will participate in the Junior Showmanship Competition. A highlight of the event will be the Fast CAT, a timed 100-meter dash where dogs chase a lure on a string.

Admission is free, but parking costs $8 per day. Prepa
