A man has been sentenced to jail time after an assault in Picton early last July. Recently 39 year old Stephen Beaudrie of Picton was sentenced to 8 months in jail and probation on charges of assault with a weapon, mischief, uttering death threats, an assaulting a peace officer. On the afternoon of July 3 OPP responded after someone had been assaulted and property damaged. Beaudrie fought with police and the Emergency Response Team was called in to assist with the arrest.
