A second teenager has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Mohanad Goobe in Moss Side. Police said they were called to a 'disturbance' in the area of Moss Lane East and Monton Street at around 4.30pm on September 15.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, Mohanad, who police said was stabbed, died later that evening. A second person has now been arrested in connection with his death.

The 15 year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in custody for questioning, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said in a statement issued this morning (Tuesday, September 23).

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, has already been charged with his murder and has been remanded in custody.
