Two shocking incidents of stone-pelting on moving local trains have recently come to light in Mumbai , leaving two women injured. Both incidents occurred near Sewri and Wadala railway stations. The Wadala Government Railway Police (GRP) has registered cases and launched an investigation.

The first incident occurred on Thursday, September 18, near Sewri station. Anuradha Sav (39), a resident of Wadala East, was traveling in the last women’s compartment of the 7:07 pm CSMT–Goregaon slow local. As the train crossed Sewri and approached Wadala, she went near the door to get down. Around 7:30 pm, an unknown person standing near the tracks threw a stone that first struck her phone and then hit her left eye, causing minor injuries.
