Millions of households are being urged to switch energy tariffs immediately or lose £215 in winter energy bill savings.
A full switch to a new supplier can take up to five working days to complete, so you'd ideally need to do it today to ensure it goes through before Ofgem's latest price cap rise comes into effect on October 1.
The cheapest deals on the market are currently £215 below the new cap. Between October 1 and December 31, 2025, the energy price cap will go up to £1,755 per year for a typical household that uses electricity and gas and pays by direct debit. This is two per cent higher than the cap of £1,720 for July 1-September 30.
