WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A Macon County Schools teacher was charged with stabbing a man in Warner Robins during an argument, according to police and court records obtained by 13WMAZ.

Lathonia Joiner, a teacher at Macon County Middle School , was charged with felony aggravated assault back in April.

The victim, who 13WMAZ is not naming due to being a survivor of family violence, says that Joiner remains on the job. She remains listed on the Macon County School District website.

According to a Warner Robins police narrative, which was provided by the victim, Joiner cut the left side of his palm with a knife which caused "uncontrolled" bleeding.

While she claimed self defense, the investigators determined that her story didn't add up.
