Ultramarathon runner Nedd Brockman has taken to the streets of Adelaide in an attempt to get tradies to take better care of their mental health.

More than 150 people gathered in Torrensville as Brockmann led a run to highlight the importance of mental wellbeing.

Brockmann, recognised for his previous 4000km run from Perth to Sydney to raise funds for homelessness, is now focusing on sparking conversations about mental health and addressing its stigma within the construction industry.

"We're here getting around tradies, for their physical and mental fitness, trying to connect with... I guess the backbone of the nation," he said.

Data shows 84 per cent of tradespeople have experienced mental health challenges.
