The man charged in connection with the stabbing death of his fiancée was denied bail on Monday in Howard County.

Rondale Dickerson, 34, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Shelaya Broadwater, 44, police said.

Broadwater was found dead inside her Ellicott City apartment on Thursday.

Dickerson appeared calm and answered all of the judge’s questions on Monday despite police saying he was acting erratically at the time of his arrest.

New details came to light in the case through court proceedings and police and EMS radio communications.

“Your caller is going to be 14 years old advising that they found their mom deceased, also advising that there is blood everywhere,” an officer said over police radio according to Broadcastify.
