The Bruce Pearl era, undoubtedly the most successful in Auburn basketball history, has come to an end.
Pearl announced his retirement on Monday , passing down the reins to his son, Steven, who was named Auburn’s next head coach shortly after Pearl’s retirement was made official.
Over the course of Bruce Pearl’s 11 seasons at Auburn, he won 232 games (12 wins were vacated which would have put him at 244), three SEC regular season championships, two SEC tournament appearances and led the program to six NCAA tournaments with two Final Four appearances.
He’s the winningest head coach in Auburn history and his legacy will long be remembered on the Plains.
