A HMRC tax raid on millions is pushing people into cash ISAs. Around 15 million adult ISA accounts were subscribed to in 2023 to 2024, which is a big jump - and is up from 12.4 million in 2022 to 2023, according to the latest figures.
Andrew Wright, head of savings at Paragon Bank, says opting for cash ISAs is "understandable", given that the "soaring rate environment".
