HOUSTON - Closing arguments are expected in the trial for Tony Earls Jr. in Houston on Tuesday.

Earls is charged with manslaughter in the shooting death of 9-year-old Arlene Alvarez in 2022.

Opening statements in his trial were delivered on Wednesday, and the jury continued to hear the case on Thursday and Friday. On Monday, the defense and prosecution rested .
