It was an unprecedented situation for French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday as he was leaving the United Nations headquarters. He was stopped by the New York Police to allow US President Donald Trump’s motorcade to pass.

Macron stepped out of his car and walked up to a police officer to ask about the traffic blockade. The officer informed him that it was due to Trump’s motorcade. Soon after, Macron called US President Trump. A video of the incident later went viral on social media.

“How are you? Guess what happened? I am waiting in the street because everything is closed for you,” Macron was heard saying in the video while speaking to Trump.

Later, the French President walked on the street with his officials and was also seen posing for selfies with people.
