SALT LAKE CITY — Olympus High School was evacuated out of an abundance of caution on Monday morning after the school received what law enforcement called a “non-credible safety threat.”
Luke Allen, Associate Director of Communications and Community Outreach with Granite School District, said the threat came in at around 11 a.m. MDT. Not long after, Olympus High School followed safety protocol and immediately evacuated the students as a precaution.
At 12:45 p.m. MDT, students were told to go home “because there were only a few hours left in the school day,” the Granite School District said in a statement.
