AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) - Aiken County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an apartment complex after a woman reportedly heard her elderly neighbor scream.

66-year-old Chris Taylor of Warrenville has been charged with kidnapping, Assault, and Burglary after an incident on September 20th.

Reports say Taylor knocked on the victim's door, and when she opened it he said "I'm with your church". The victim said her church was in Philadelphia and she did not know that man at her door.

Taylor then allegedly pushed himself into the woman's apartment and grabber by the neck which caused her to fall on the floor.

The victim told police she stated yelling loudly and that's when Taylor ran away.

He remains in the Aiken County Jail.
