BRUNSWICK, Ohio --- Brunswick City Schools Director of Instruction and Innovation Patrick Geschke said perhaps the most notable aspect of the school district’s 4.5 star rating on the most recent Ohio School Report Card is the fact that the district saw increases in all components of the test.
“Most notably in gap closing,” Geschke said of the component of the report card that measures the reduction in educational gaps for all student groups. “I think it’s an indication our initiatives are working. [including] MTSS (multi-tier systems of support).”
Geschke said this early recognition and intervention effort, with “different levels of intervention” led directly to six of the district’s nine subgroups scoring proficient or better on the test, ensuring that all student demographics are meeti
