Monday afternoon saw a joyous bit of news as ABC walked back its latest adventure in capitulation by restoring Jimmy Kimmel back to the airwaves after suspending his show indefinitely because he said the wrong words about the president’s favorite podcaster. Those words prompted a massive overreach by FCC Chair Brendan Carr , who as of this writing, is already walking back his threats to pull ABC’s license . It was a much-needed win that left the administration humiliated and showed that the First Amendment is still sacred in this country on both sides of the aisles. To extremely varying degrees, of course.
