Two swans have been rescued from the Bridge of Don area of Aberdeen after they were spotted "weaving in and out of traffic".

Both young swans were seen this morning (Tuesday, September 23) with the first wandering along Jesmond Drive while the second was further up the road opposite Asda .

Ellon sanctuary New Arc Wildlife Rescue were quickly at the scene to help the birds.

They were then released into a safe waterway to "continue their wild journey".

Sharing the update on social media, New Arc said: "This morning we were called out to rescue not one but two swans in Bridge of Don.
