Experts are urging Brits to prepare their homes this winter and save on energy costs with a few simple steps.

With two-thirds of Brits already fretting over winter energy costs due to escalating household bills , experts are advising everyone to perform two simple tasks before the chill sets in, potentially saving up to £700. The advice comes off the back of a survey which revealed many households are unprepared for winter as they confessed to overlooking basic tasks. ‌

Two-thirds have had to shell out hundreds around £330 for repairs after failing to bleed their radiators before the cold snap. Meanwhile, a third admitted to neglecting their annual boiler service, which could result in an average repair cost of £392 if the boiler conks out during winter. ‌
