The headmaster of a Kent public school has been named as being one of the best in the country. The Tatler Schools Guide Awards 2026 has unveiled its nominations for the best schools in the UK.

Tatler's shortlist has been created by a team from the upmarket magazine, members of which have been walking the corridors, sitting in the dining halls and "hearing first-hand from pupils, parents and staff about what makes their institution stand out".

Out of the country's many hundreds of schools, only 250 make it into its annual guide. And it's not just the educational establishments set to win awards, it's the leaders at the helm who are also celebrated.
