CLEVELAND, Ohio — A Lorain County high school basketball coach was arrested Monday on child pornography charges after he spoke with an undercover law enforcement officer about having sex with a 9-year-old deaf girl, according to court records.

Michael Neville, who last year was the basketball coach at Lake Ridge Academy in North Ridgeville, also told officers that he once had sex with a 13-year-old girl and possessed explicit videos of a teen girl in Texas, court records say.

Neville, 46, of Elyria, is charged in federal court in Cleveland with two counts of child pornography. U.S. District Magistrate Judge Jonathan Greenberg ordered that Neville remain in custody until a hearing on Sept. 30.

Defense attorney Joseph Morse declined comment after the hearing.
