A popular fast food company is set to bring its Detroit-style pizzas to Middlesbrough in a matter of weeks. Sliceburg will open a branch in Berwick Hills , although the exact location and opening date has not yet been revealed.

The chain is known for its square-shaped pizzas and customers can also enjoy Angus beef smash burgers, stir fried doner and loaded fries. Customers will be able to dine in at the restaurant or enjoy meals at home with takeaway and delivery options available through the website or UberEats.

The owner said: “So many people have been asking when we’re opening and the wait is almost over." The new branch follows the success of a Sliceburg restaurant in Darlington which opened in 2023.
