NEW YORK (PIX11) --- Dozens of protesters were arrested just a few blocks from where President Donald Trump addressed the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday morning, authorities said.

Several people were taken into custody for disorderly conduct near 42nd Street and Second Avenue and on 46th Street and Third Avenue at around 9 a.m., according to the NYPD.

The protesters were blocking traffic at the intersections while holding signs saying, "Trump is the emergency," "Fascist," and "Arrest Trump," according to police and photos from the scene.
