The carjackers saw the 2023 Honda CRV in the driveway, but what they didn’t see was a family prepared to defend it.

It all happened around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the west side of Toronto in the Eglinton Ave. and Caledonia Rd. area where two masked men attempted to take this car from the driveway of a home.

The problem was the family dog caught wind of them and woke the whole house up with its barking.

“I tried to use the key fob to hit the alarm of the car when I saw the guys, but they had cut the wire, and it was silence,” the matriarch of the home told the Sun at the scene.

Soon after her husband came out the front door and confronted the would-be thieves.

At that point, one of the thieves struck her husband in the head.
