The Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan (UJS) secretary (Appraisal) Maneesh Semwal said that the restoration of the water supply systems which were affected in the recent spells of heavy rain in parts of Dehradun has been recently completed and with this normal water supply in the affected regions is expected to resume within one or two days.

It is important to mention that on September 16, Dehradun experienced heavy rainfall leading to flooding and landslides in some areas. As a result, 33 water supply schemes in the district were impacted that day. Among these, five to seven main schemes, which supply water to most parts of Dehradun, suffered significant damage.
