SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) -- Local police said Kemper Road has reopened Tuesday afternoon after a suspect was taken into custody.

Both Shaker Heights and Cleveland police were reportedly involved in the search and police said the suspect was involved in an incident in Cleveland.

"Shaker police are asking people to avoid the area, or, if you are already in this area, you are advised to shelter in place," Shaker police said in a statement around 12:45 p.m.

By 1:15 p.m., police said a suspect was in custody but did not offer any other details.
